Hairline shape, softness, pigment tone, spacing and density all need to work with your face, age, skin and existing hair. Hair Request is built around conservative planning and gradual treatment, because a believable result matters more than a dramatic first impression.

Hair loss usually does not arrive in a flattering, front-facing studio shot. This kind of top-down thinning is what often brings men to the consultation in the first place. When SMP is the right route, the aim is not a theatrical hairline. It is a more deliberate frame, believable scalp texture and a result that makes sense at normal distance and close range.

WHAT SMP CANNOT DO
It does not grow hair.
Hair Request will never sell SMP as something it is not. It is a cosmetic treatment, not a transplant and not a regrowth treatment. If the result you want cannot be achieved convincingly with SMP, the consultation should tell you that before treatment begins.

We look at your hair loss, scalp, existing hair, goals and expectations. If SMP is not a sensible fit, you should know before you spend money on treatment.

Hairline position, shape, softness, pigment direction and treatment area are agreed before the first impression is placed.

Build the result gradually
SMP is normally developed over multiple sessions. Density and tone are built progressively so the result can settle between visits.

Aftercare & review
You leave with clear aftercare guidance and a review plan. Long-term maintenance depends on your skin, sun exposure, lifestyle and how the pigment ages.

Will SMP look obvious?
It should not. The aim is to create a believable impression of closely cut follicles or added density, not a painted or overly sharp effect. Conservative hairline design and gradual density are central to that.
How many sessions will I need?
Most plans are built over multiple sessions. The exact number depends on the area being treated, your skin, existing hair, scar tissue if relevant, and the finish you want. Your plan is agreed before treatment.
Does scalp micropigmentation fade?
Yes. The appearance of pigment changes gradually over time, and maintenance or refresh sessions may be needed. Sun exposure, skin type and lifestyle can all affect how a treatment ages.
Does it hurt?
Sensation varies from person to person and across different areas of the scalp. Most clients can tolerate a session, but the consultation is the right place to discuss sensitivity or concerns before booking.
Can I send photos before coming in?
Yes. WhatsApp is the quickest way to send clear photos of the front, both sides, top and back of your scalp for an initial suitability conversation. A photo check does not replace an in-person assessment where one is needed.
